COP25 Preview: A Conversation with Climate Action Champion Gonzalo Muñoz Abogabir

World Resources Institute (WRI) and the NDC Partnership welcome Chile’s new High-Level Climate Action Champion Gonzalo Muñoz to speak about priorities for the next international conference on climate change (COP25) which will take place in Santiago, Chile in December 2019.

Mr. Muñoz was nominated by Chilean President Sebastián Piñera to be the High-Level Champion for COP25 on 11 April 2019. Mr. Muñoz is a business entrepreneur and social changemaker who founded Triciclos, one of Latin America’s leading recycling companies, which operates as a B Corporation. He has been a leader in promoting the work of New Plastics Economy. At the latest World Economic Forum, he was awarded the Circulars Award for promoting the circular economy. He also has received awards from the Schwab Foundation, the BMW Foundation, among many others.

Representatives from government, international institutions, and civil society are expected to attend. The event will be open to the press and will be livestreamed for those who are not able to join.
