Technical Practitioners’ Workshop on Methodologies for Analyzing Mitigation INDCs
As parties to the UNFCCC begin to put forward “intended nationally determined contributions” (INDCs), a number of initiatives have emerged to analyze various characteristics of the INDCs from an independent, technical standpoint. The World Resources Institute is organizing a technical practitioners’ workshop on the afternoon of June 7 in Bonn, Germany to compare notes with other practitioners regarding the analysis of INDCs. The workshop will provide analysts with the opportunity to present and discuss relevant methodological issues, including methods for quantifying the GHG impact of INDCs, particularly those that are not framed as specific, absolute emissions limits, as well as methods for evaluating and comparing different types of INDCs.
